Arriving at Your Reiki Location
Your Reiki session will be provided inside our home, located in the Oakridge area in London, Ontario. Once we connect through e-mail or phone and decide to book a session for you, I will provide the address and a confirmation of the booking time & date. There will be room to park in the driveway and a sign on the front porch. I will greet you at the door. My wife, Kim, and I have two children and two cats who are all familiar with the Reiki practice and will help to maintain the peaceful ambience we need during our session. The cats are not permitted in the Reiki room to avoid any unwanted hair or dander :-)
Discussing the Reiki Sesson
Once you have arrived we'll get some water, locate washrooms, and make sure you're feeling at home. We'll make our way to the Reiki room and have a seat on the couch to discuss the session (pictured to the right). This is a time when you can share your intentions with the session (if you wish) and ask any questions you'd like. I will share details about the process, show you all of the hand positions we'll be using, and speak a little about the energy that will be coming in.
Starting the Reiki Session
When we're ready to begin we'll pick our music, adjust the room temperature (if needed) and select our lighting level for the session. There is a washroom located on this floor that you may use and we'll get you set up on the Reiki bed with the blankets and pillows you need. There is a step available to assist you on/off the bed if required. Once you're comfortable, you'll have a few minutes to rest there and get into a relaxed state. While you're relaxing to the music and ambience, I'll begin to bring the energy through. This usually takes 3-4 minutes. After, I'll place my hands on your shoulders to let you know I'm there and we'll start directing the Reiki.
During the Reiki Session
The Reiki portion of our session is about 60 minutes. You are more than welcome to move and adjust as needed to maintain a comfortable and relaxed position. Most recipients will rest quietly with their eyes closed and enjoy their own energetic experience while I focus on the delivery of the Reiki. If at any time you need to pause for the washroom or any other reason you can simply let me know. I will speak when spoken to and offer you any guidance or reassurance needed during the session. Otherwise, you will hardly know I'm there while you and the Reiki complete the energetic restoration that is in your highest good. We'll have time to discuss after.
After the Reiki Session
Nearing the end of the Reiki session we will ground your energy and circle the body with a Tibetan sound bowl to allow everything to balance and settle. I'll then lower the music and raise the lighting level. I'll gently let you know the session has ended and encourage you to take your time getting off the Reiki table and back to the couch area. We'll have a chance to discuss anything you experienced during your session and I'll take this opportunity to share any additional insight that may assist your personal healing journey. When you're feeling awake and satisfied we can head back to the foyer and get you on your way, feeling rested and restored.
